My sweet friend Linda Gainey
My friend Phil had a wonderful wife that was my friend. She passed away many years ago suddenly. Phil brought me ashes to create a Sacred Embers for himself as well as his son. This has been a huge honor for me. I miss Linda. And when I told Phil that I would return the extra ash to him he told me that he thought I might like to have it. Of course, this brought me to tears. I think these Sacred Embers are beautiful.

Lucky's Sacred Embers
Tomorrow I will deliver a beautiful Sacred Embers to a woman that is getting her mom a pendant created with the ashes of Lucky their dog. Her mom is really missing Lucky and she feels this will help her mom to feel that Lucky is with her. This will be a most special Christmas gift.

Sacred Embers Amulets for a family
These Sacred Embers amulets will be presented today to a woman that got one for her daughter, mom and herself. The ashes are from her father. He was a beloved husband, father and grandpa. These amulets will bring much peace, I am sure.

Luna's Sacred Embers
A wonderful couple came to me with the ashes & some hair of their sweet Newfie, Luna. Luna loved the water and her green toy. Her parents miss their baby Luna so much. I know that the pendant and amulet will bring both of them a certain amount of peace. Certainly will not erase the pain but ease it each time they touch their Sacred Embers. I think you can "see" Luna in the water with her green toy if you look hard enough.

Retired AirMan's Sacred Embers
I created these Sacred Embers for a woman and her mom. The ashes were of her father, who was a retired AirMan from the United States AirForce. Below is the message that she sent me:
"Today I picked up Sacred Embers of my dad - one for my mom and one for myself. They are beautiful. My father passed away 8 years ago (yesterday) and now I have a piece of him to keep with me forever. When I first met Carolyn (through the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce) I knew I wanted to have a Sacred Ember created, b...ut wasn't sure how my mom would feel about wanting some of my dad's ashes. I finally asked and when she found out what I wanted to do, she decided to have one made for herself as well. Thank you Carolyn - you are special woman and I am very glad I met you.
Susan Aaron"

Donald's Sacred Embers
Today I gave the Sacred Embers done in honor of Donald the horse. Circumstances were a bit difference and I created the Sacred Embers with some of Donald's mane hair. I know that Donald is in very green pastures now.............running free!

Closure
When someone loses a person or pet in their life to death, for whatever reason, there is a void left. There are so many thoughts & memories. Sometimes, even anger for the "leaving". And of course there is the sadness & heartfelt pain. Take peace in knowing that your lost one will always be with you. When the vessel, or body can no longer survive, the spirit lives on! Take time to mourn, find closure and allow yourself to have sad moments, but know that "they" wouldn't want you to continue to be sad. They love you and want you to continue on with life. You will never forget them, that's not a possibility.
I can tell you from personal experience that it is never easy, but I know they would hope for more smiles than tears of sorrow.
Smile when you think of them and live life!

Sacred Embers
Today I delivered a Sacred Embers & this is part of an email sent to me by Patti. This is why Sacred Embers is so extremely important to me:
"It is because of your passion and caring that makes both you and your works of art so beautiful and so special to others. You should be very proud of the service you offer those that lost their beloved family, pets, etc. I sing your praises to all that may want to embark on this great adventure.
Patti"

A Facebook post by a special client
This is a message by a special Sacred Embers client that was written on my Sacred Embers Facebook page:
"My heart and soul are blessed and comforted with the sincere unique attention that Carolyn Osborne has provided me as I continue this journey on life with out Shay Darlene Youngblood by my side. She has made it possible to include Shay in my daily life and to bring comfort to my soul just touching the pendant. She took the time to find just the right place to place Shay's ashes and Puppy's ashes in a very beautiful spot. Because she cares....she noticed a rock that glowed that she knew I had to have and sent it to me. Carolyn is in tune with each and every one of us."
When I receive words like these from my Sacred Embers clients it means more to me than I can possibly ever express adequately.

Today I received a wonderful email from one of my recent Sacred Embers clients. "Hi Carolyn,
I received the pendant on Friday. I was going to wait to give it to Kris, but she had a bad day so I decided to give it to her right away. She absolutely loved it. She is not usually an emotional person, but pendant brought tears to her eyes. Thank you so much for the beautiful memory. Kristi"
This is why I find so much peace and joy in creating Sacred Embers.

I started creating Sacred Embers one-of-a-kind Cremation Jewelry because people had asked me for years to do something with my fused glass and their ashes, I never did until I knew that my brother, David Osborne, was going to die and ultimately would have his ashes. At this point I knew that I had to do something very special to honor him. SACRED EMBERS WAS BORN! Creating Sacred Embers has been the most amazing journey for me. I have been able to watch people be healed right before my eyes. The peace given to my clients has also brought me peace. I feel that a part of my heart goes with each Sacred Embers, to include tears and the respect of the great honor people are giving me by allowing me to create Sacred Embers for them. I wanted to be a safe place for people to come with the ashes of their beloved person or pet and provide a beautiful one-of-a-kind remembrance for them to be treasured. So that they may hold their Sacred Embers with them always.

Digby's Sacred Embers
Sacred Embers brings with it a type of "perfect timing". Today I let a client know that her Sacred Embers for her sweet dog Digby was ready. She said that this had been a particularly difficult and emotional week and that this is perfect timing.
This has happened more than once. I can't wait to put Digby's Sacred Embers in her hands to bring her peace and comfort.

Sacred Embers for Petey and his mom
This is a Sacred Embers done for Annette Lanker for herself and Petey. Annette has a pendant and Petey has a dog tag with the ashes from his amputated leg in the Sacred Embers. A way to make this sweet baby "whole" again.

Email about Sacred Embers
This is a portion of an email that I received today from the woman that had her dogs' leg cremated after it was amputated. I created 2 Sacred Embers for her. The pendant for her and the tag for the dog.
Again showing why I take Sacred Embers so very seriously and feel it is an honor each and every time.
" Thanks so much for doing this and I LOVE how you described it in your blog. You summarized my feelings/wishes perfectly - I wanted to make Petey whole again in a way that medicine wasn't able to. Wow! You get it!"

A very special Sacred Embers
A woman that I met loves her sweet dog very much. The dog had been hit by a car and ultimately she lost her leg. I had the request to make a Sacred Embers for the woman and a Sacred Embers "tag" for the dog with the ashes from her leg. This way she will always be whole.
I'd like to mention that her dog is doing very well. And soon she will have her special Sacred Embers on her collar! I feel so very blessed to have these incredible stories to share and the amazing people that I am able to meet in this journey of Sacred Embers.

Sacred Embers for Rupert
A couple that I had met sometime ago lost their beloved dog Rupert. The husband asked me to create a Sacred Embers with Rupert's ashes for his wife for their anniversary. He wanted a Sacred Embers that could be a key chain as well as a pendant. I did this. But I felt compelled to create one for him too. Afterall, it was their "baby" Rupert and their anniversary.
The email that I received follows: "....it was great. She cried when she received it and it came as a total shock. I gave her the choice of her pick. Thank you again and we are going to do something for Christmas as well."

Sacred Embers Amulet email from a client
I received this email this morning from a woman that I presented her Sacred Embers to last night. The Sacred Embers amulet was of her partner. THIS is so much why I do Sacred Embers. I have changed the names but the email is what she sent me:
"I've been holding Sue since I got home. I can't seem to set the stone down. Thank you for such caring work.
I did this so that I could carry a part of Sue with me all the time. The stone is more beautiful than I had anticipated, and it will be with joy that I show off your work to others.
Thank you again, for your attention to your work means more than you know.
Kate"

I hope that this special Sacred Embers brings peace to the woman that commissioned it. She lost her partner a year ago and her heart is having a terrible time healing. The coin has a heart on one side and the other says, "When you hold this think of me". It is so beautiful.

Cougar's Sacred Embers amulet
Cougar's amulet is finished. It is beautiful and full of life and color as he was. I miss my Cougar Man. He was the most verbal of my cats. I'm guessing he was about 9 when he had to go. When he was younger the neighbors moved and left him behind. Being the resourceful guy that he was, he knew to come to my house. He slowly befriended our Rottweiler Amazon (who provided me with the very first ashes for Sacred Embers) and the other cats, Petunia, Sapphire & Olivia. They still miss him too.

As we speak I am creating my cat Cougar's Sacred Embers. I am making an amulet. For some reason I am having a hard time with this one. Maybe I just wasn't ready for him to go....so unexpected. Cancer..........

These Sacred Embers were very special and interesting, they all are. But this woman contacted me from California and wanted Sacred Embers to honor her daughter that passed away from Cystic Fibrosis. Due to the wonder of Facebook I was able to learn more about her daughter (even though we talked for a very long time on the phone). One pendant has her daughter's ashes, the other pendant has their cat & daughter's ashes and the amulet is for her husband with just the cat's ashes. And the most wonderful part is that she was coming to Washington state and I was able to deliver the Sacred Embers to her in person! So very much touched my heart. I feel that I have made a new friend for life. Again, proving to me the incredible journey that Sacred Embers is taking me on.

Sacred Embers Window Ornaments
I created these "sun catchers, ornaments...." for a woman with the ashes of her mom. These ornaments are for her brother and a sister. Soon there will be photos of the 2 pendants for her other sister and herself. The photos don't do these ornaments justice. They are beautiful and shimmery in person.
The client requested that the pieces all have a same flavor to them. I hope I did this for her.

Bob is going on a cruise!
These Sacred Embers were created for a woman to give to her mom, herself and her brother. They hold the ashes of her dad Bob. The family is going on a cruise and it will be the first time Bob wouldn't be there for a family vacation..........but actually he will be there. Present in their Sacred Embers. Such an honor to make this happen for this family.

Sacred Embers with both parent's ashes
I created these 2 Sacred Embers for a woman that is giving them to her husband and her sister inlaw. At first it was just going to be a pendant for her sister inlaw with the ashes of her parents but then she thought her husband would like an amulet to keep in his pocket, so he too, could have his parents close.
She just sent me a message and she just gave him the amulet and he began to cry. I am so lucky to help create closure and very special moments for others.

Ashes
You or someone you know may have your beloved person or pet's ashes sitting in your closet or in an urn on a shelf. With a very small bit of ash I can create a beautiful pendant or amulet for you that you can keep with you always.
I am always honored when I am given ashes.

Sacred Embers
Was told today that the Sacred Embers created for the man and his mom has brought them closer together again. I am so happy since this was the hoped for outcome. I feel so lucky to be in the position to help in a situation such as this. My part in it is so fleeting but the end result is forever. A good beginning to 2010.
